Applying simple geometric forms in an asymmetrical layout creates an elegant balance between two unconventional spaces.

Our customer desired an open and casual contemporary basement finish, including an entertainment area, wet bar, wine cellar, bath and exercise room. Our challenge was to create a distinctive entertainment area - open to the exercise room - while dedicating 40% of the floor plan to the exercise area. A simple yet dramatic circular drywall ceiling anchors the entertainment area, while a bold, rectilinear, 'punched opening' wall system enhances circulation but also defines and separates the spaces.
