A traditional kitchen and breakfast nook were separated by a wall of cabinets. This made for two small rooms and limited conversations.

Our goal was to create a space large enough for family gatherings, to gain control over the 4 entry points into the kitchen, and to define the work area.

Our design build solution removes the center wall and combines the two spaces into one. We created a primary circulation path for three entry points and reduced the fourth to a pocket door that would serve as controlled access to the dining room. The result is a working kitchen with multiple conversation points and open views through the home.
