MAR 2026 · DALTILE
Daltile Design Challenge Winner
Our own Mahlah Armstead, interior designer here at Forward, was named the winner of the Daltile Design Challenge, earning 33 of the 122 votes cast. In her honor, Daltile is making a donation to the NAACP in Mahlah’s name, and she will receive a framed print of Jacob Lawrence’s Pool Parlor. We could not be prouder.

NARI Remodeler of the Year — Residential Interior
2026 Regional Winner, NARI Remodeler of the Year. A dark, fragmented floor plan became a warm whole-home interior with a sculptural fireplace wall, custom wet bar, and more natural light.

NARI Remodeler of the Year — Residential Addition
2026 Regional Winner, NARI Remodeler of the Year. A cramped bungalow attic became a bright primary suite with a new dormer, full bath, and built-ins, judged by industry peers on craftsmanship and design.

Best of Houzz 2026 — Design & Service
Forward earned both Best of Houzz awards for 2026: Design, voted by the Houzz community for our most-saved work, and Service, based on client reviews of what it is like to build with us.

2025 Builder of the Year
The Builders & Remodelers Association of Greater Ann Arbor named Forward its 2025 Builder of the Year, presented to Jef and Monica Forward on November 5. It reflects nearly three decades of design-build work in and around Ann Arbor.
